Group structure

The Keller group typically has between 25 to 30 people with 1 administrative staff and 1 technical staff for the MBE growth in the ETH FIRST Lab. The NCCR MUST office has 3 staff members. Group research focus is equally distributed on applied (ultrafast laser development) and fundamental science (attosecond science). We apply for funding from a broad range of sources such as KTI, industry, EU and SNSF. Typically two non-permanent senior postdocs help supervise the group with their goal to establish an independent professor position and staying typically 4 to 6 years. Six Habilitations granted, left as tenured professors (3), permanent group leaders at national labs (2) and private enterprise (1). We typically have 15-18 graduate students who typically stay 4 years and 1-4 junior postdocs who typically stay up to 3 years.
